Tips to Repaire an Ipad that has water damage

Because water damage isn't covered under the warranty of your iPad, it is one of the worst kinds of damage that your iPad can experience. For this reason you need to know what you should do if your iPad has quit working after it has been damaged by water.

There is one thing that you shouldn't do and that is to try to return it where you purchased it from got it and try to fool the technicians that it isn't a water damage problem. All iPads have four water 4 indicators inside them that turn pink when they come into contact with water and the technician can immediately tell if the iPad has been damaged by water. These indicators can be seen if you look down in the headphone socket with a bright light. The indicator will turn half pink and half white if your iPad has been in contact with water.

There are many reports of people who have got their water damaged iPads working again by drying them out. But, you should never try to turn it on until it has been dried out.

You can use Silica gel packets to dry out your iPad. The Silica gel will probably remove all of the water in your iPad. You may already have some of this material in your home if you keep your packaging for your electronics or cameras. If you don't have any, it can be ordered on the Internet, found at an electronics store, or purchased at Arts and Crafts stores since it's primarily used for drying flowers.

All you have to do is place your iPad in a plastic bag and seat it with the packets of Silica gel and store it in a dry place for at least three days. It will take this long to be sure that all of the water is removed from the inside of your iPad.

If you don't have any Silica gel on hand immediately, place your iPad in a bag or box with some uncooked rice and then reseal the bag or box. Doing this will help to keep your iPad dry until you can get some Silica gel. Use the Silica gel method as soon as it is available.

Finally, connect your computer to your iPad and load up an application and see if you can do a complete restore. This method of drying out your iPad is the best way to get your iPad working again after it has been damaged by water.
